Absract: The concept of civilization, unlike the notion of culture, refers to the organizational structure of society, which is manifested by certain mechanisms of regulation and governance. The current civilized so-ciety is characterized by global organizational structures that unite the planetary society. Unlike a culture that is anchored in diversity, global civilization is the universal organizational framework of social life as well as all the subsystems of society. The process of globali-zation has conditioned the emergence of global problems. Their solu-tions imply an adequate concept of globalization, its genesis, mecha-nisms, perspectives and real social impacts. The paper focuses on the issue of establishing a global civilization and the role of integration within it.

Key words: Globalization – Culture – Civilization – Society – Values
